Quincy Art Center

The mission of the Quincy Art Center is to educate the public by promoting the growth and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions and programs.

The Quincy Art Center, located at 1515 Jersey, is home to the Elizabeth M. Sinnock Gallery and the Katharine Gardner Stevenson Gallery. It is also home to the Jack W. Boge Library and a spacious studio space. Hours are Monday – Saturday from 9 am - 4 pm. Suggested admission is $3 and $1 for seniors and students.

The Art Center proudly hosts a variety of exhibits throughout the year including the Mary S. Oakley Area Artists Showcase, the High School Art Competition, and Permanent Collection Choices. These exhibits offer recognition, career advancement and economic support for artists.  Opening receptions are a great time get together with friends and enjoy a night of art, food and fun!

Education classes for ages 4 to 104 are offered all year long and help inspire and teach students about visual arts! The smART Kids: Art Mentor Program serves K-3rd grade school children providing them with two classroom visits and one enhanced tour at the Quincy Art Center. The Tour and Hands On Connection program compliments all exhibits on display throughout the year and costs $2 for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

The Art Center, a non-profit organization, is supported in part by membership fees, contributions, grants and proceeds from fund-raising events, the most notable of which is the Beaux Arts Ball. It offers an opportunity for high school aged girls to become active in the arts and the community. The ball is a fun social event always held during the holiday season.
